Vessel Security Awareness with Duties 

Sea School’s eight (8) hour Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties course is for mariners serving on vessels of 500 GT or greater that are regulated by STCW and who are assigned duties on the ship that include security of the vessel. Some of these duties may include:
- Standing a quarter deck watch
- Making Ship Security Rounds
- Serving in Bridge areas where Vessel Security Plan is kept.
- Also applies to Mariners who hold keys to areas that require security such as weapons lockers, paint storage lockers, engineering areas where there are      specific valves, (i.e. ballast, water, fuel or oil), etc.
This course is offered at our Mobile, Charleston, Jacksonville, and Ft. Lauderdale locations.
